So after a few people commenting to me about how I should start a blog, here I am and can't wait to share my journey with you all as I endeavour to create 'Adelaide's Place'. Adelaide is my daughter who is my eldest child and a joy but she has a bit of difficulty finding her space in the world. My husband has just recently discharged from the Australian Defence Force but during his service he was often away lengthy periods and that has taken its toll on Adelaide, manifesting in anxiety and insecurity.
Its been a ridiculously hectic 18 months for us and is still non stop. About 12 months ago we got our own house and have made a list a million miles long with projects to turn this house into our home but for one reason or another; they haven't come about but these challenges have taught me how to manage my time, organise my life and family, create art and live frugally. I am looking forward to making 2011 the year to whip this house into shape from all angles, learn a truckload of new skills and share some of my art while hopefully inspiring you to take the plunge to live the life you want.
I look forward to sharing with you my adventures in renovating, crafting, housekeeping, gardening and art over the next year and beyond!
Cheers,
Bri
